Logans Life

Like many other people you can help support Logan by offering a simple donation (see at the bottom of this page how to donate). All current donations have gone towards providing Logan with a wheelchair. Many thanks for all those that have helped Logan.

Logan is a bright and intelligent child of 3 years of age, he has a wicked sense of humour and a cheeky smile for everyone. Logan has had a bad start to his short live as he has had to go in to hospital on numerous occasions due to his illness which caused him to have pneumonia 3 times caused by the lack of muscle movement in his lungs.

Logan requires 24 hours care under 19 consultants in which 5 are top specialists. Care is currently performed by his mum and dad who also have two other boys to take care of.
Logan suffers from a rare muscle disorder called Ulrich congenital muscular dystrophy, which means that he has no control of his muscles, which causes him to be very floppy all over his little body, as you can see in the picture Logan is in his standing frame to support his body as he cant walk unaided.
Logan struggles to move around like a normal 3 year old and is getting a wheel chair in the next few wks in which he will be in for the rest of his life.
Logan also has to have other equipment to help him get around, one of the items being a walker to try and help his legs. As Logan get older he will get worse as his muscles may go stiff instead of floppy. Logan may also need oxygen for when he is in bed and he could also get curvature of the spine.
