Hull Kung Fu Courses

The Hull Kung Fu Club is working very closely with the Humber Sports Partnership, East Riding Council and Voluntary Youth Services to bring you quality courses that will aid your training and instructing in martial arts. The courses listed below are available to people who are training with the Hull Kung Fu club and are available at a cost of £5 each (sometimes free).

Please channel all your requests for courses through the Hull Kung Fu Club administration path. This enables us to ensure that the club has a good relationship with the Voluntary Youth Organisation and Council and helps maintain a good understanding of who is trained within the organisation.

Criminal Record Bureau Disclosure Checks
The Hull Kung Fu Club is now registered with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to perform CRB checks for all its instructors.
If you wish to proceed through the path of the CRB checks then please contact Mike or Odette Mitchell for more information.
The process is held under strict guidelines, which must be understood and adhered to before progressing through the checks.
Good Practice and Child Protection (Sportscoach UK )
This workshop identifies and recognises the key principles of good coaching practice, and the implications for your coaching. The workshop addresses ways of dealing with your own feelings about child abuse as well as recognising and responding to the signs and indicators of child abuse.
Learn about child abuse and how to handle situations if you have concerns. This course provides you with a nationally recognised certificate and is an extremely hot topic in todays society.
Coaching Disabled Performers (Sportscoach UK )
Develop your coaching knowledge and skills to coach players with disabilities through inclusive and separate coaching sessions. Discover new ways to adapt equipment and identify appropiate safety and medical considerations to meet your players needs.
Equity in your Coaching (Sportscoach UK )
This workshop identifies ways of engaging with all your clubs potential volunteers and members regardless of age, sexuality, gender, race, ability or faith.
4 Hour Emergency First Aid (Direct Action Training)
This four hour emergency first aid course is designed to give the candidates the skills and knowledge to administer emergency first aid training, in everyday situations and within your club environment.

Drug Awareness
Working with individuals who have drug problems is an essential aspect of many careers today. You may be concerned about the effect of drugs on your family or community, and want to learn more.
If you wish to improve your knowledge in this important area, our Drugs Misuse Awareness Course is an excellent way to gain comprehensive information and valuable skills.
Substance Abuse with ReSolv
This teaches you the dangers and signs of substance abuse. This is a free on line course.
